The CII-Triveni Water Institute (CII-TWI), one of CII’s nine recognised Centres of Excellence, is a special organisation founded in 2008 where government, business, and civil society have joined forces to address water-related issues holistically. With its main office located in the National Capital Region’s Gurgaon, CII-TWI also has satellite offices in Bangalore and Jaipur.

The Institute’s goal is to help India achieve significant progress towards water security by 2022. The Institute is special because it unites the community, business, and government to pursue a single goal. By altering the mindset and attitude of stakeholders, CII-TWI aims to revolutionise water conservation and management in India and bring about more sustainable and efficient water management methods at the local level.

Water security is approached holistically and integratedly by CII-TWI. The Institute’s primary focus was on reducing the disparity between supply and demand by tackling problems with waste water management, water efficiency, and conservation. In order to secure growth and integrated development for future generations, it seeks to guarantee the availability and fair allocation of finite freshwater resources.
