Indian enterprises have boldly ventured out to develop global footprints, and part of their expansion plans now includes external interaction. Through targeted initiatives to strengthen the entire Brand India, among other means, CII supports this process.
An important part of this involvement is conducting both inside and outward business missions in collaboration with the government and international business and industry associations. Itineraries tailored to the industries they target and the major cities they visit are created to help incoming delegations, including top government leaders from overseas. B2B connectivity is made possible via the organisation of interaction meetings with CII members.
Delegations abroad are an ongoing aspect of CII’s activities. Annual CEO missions to Singapore, the UK, and the USA include discussions at the highest echelons of the host governments and interactions with leading CEOs, educational institutions, and business associations. The Prime Minister, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and President of India frequently travel abroad with CII delegations in tow.
While state and regional offices send delegations of their members to international commercial hubs, sectoral missions are also carried out.
